Introducing the TM-7 Guitar Monitor -- the Right Choice for Recording, Practicing and Just Plain Fun.
The new TM-7 from BOSS is a multi-function headphone guitar monitor and line driver. Its sophisticated, versatile design reflects BOSS' thorough understanding of what today's guitarist needs. Ideal for practicing, studying and recording, the TM-7 incorporates the following functions in a light-weight, compact unit:
1. Sophisticated guitar amp simulation for use with compact pedals, etc.
2. Effortless mixing of external input signals (via Line In L/R) with guitar
input signals.
3. Center Canceler function which uses phase processing to eliminate centrally-
localized sound, such as vocals or guitar solos, from CD's or cassettes.
The TM-7 also features superb sound quality with minimum noise (input equivalent noise level of -116 dBm, IHF-A). The TM-7 is a solid, versatile performer suitable for a wide range of applications. It can be used as a line driver for multitrack recording or for silent guitar practice with headphones. You can even use the TM-7 for practicing vocal parts over CD or cassette backing. It's like having your own karaoke ... all at an affordable price.
3-Tone/3-Volume Guitar Amp Simulator
------------------------------------
Whether practicing with headphones or recording at line level, the TM-7's incredible amp simulator will deliver the same kind of punchy guitar sound you normally get from your amp. You can create exactly the sound you want using the TM-7's three volume controls (GAIN / VOLUME / MASTER) and three tone controls (TREBLE / MIDDLE / BASS). With the TM-7, any type of authentic amplified guitar sound -- from mild distortion to the searing, high-gain sound of an overdriven amp -- is at your fingertips. The gutsy, powerful guitar sounds produced by the TM-7's LINE recording function are ideal for output to a multitrack recorder, especially when combined with compact distortion/overdrive pedals. A built-in effects loop lets you use stereo effects such as chorus and reverb.
Center Canceler Function
------------------------
The Center Canceler function uses phase processing to delete center-panned sound from the audio input signal (LINE IN L/R). This means that lead vocals or guitar solos, which are usually localized to the center, can be conveniently eliminated. This allows you to sing along or practice guitar solos with your favorite CD's and cassettes. To prevent the loss of bass response when canceling center-located sound, a bass control is provided. You can also fine-tune the level of cancellation with the CANCEL ADJUST control.
Easy Operation
--------------
The TM-7's desktop design is unusually simple, with all the controls and settings clearly visible and easily accessible. The one-function/one-knob design serves to further simplify operations. The TM-7's battery operation affords complete portability for use anywhere, anytime.
